Daniels Fund distributes $2.3 million to
Utah nonprofit organizations in 2015

In 2015, the Daniels Fund granted $46.5 million to highly effective nonprofit organizations throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, as well as select national organizations. Utah communities are benefiting from $2.3 million in grants to outstanding nonprofits throughout the state.

The Daniels Fund's Utah grantmaking strategy focuses primarily on collective impact programs that coordinate a shared strategic vision with numerous community partners. This model has proven successful by using resources wisely and eliminating duplication of services. In addition, the Daniels Fund provides a limited number of grants which focus on specific needs of the state and fit within the Daniels Fund’s grantmaking strategy.

Nonprofit organizations that were awarded grants in 2015 include:
Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Utah, the Community Foundation of Utah, Jewish Family Service, Southern Utah University Foundation, TURN Community Services, United Way of Northern Utah, United Way of Salt Lake, University of Utah, and Utah Food Bank.

The Daniels Fund also provides scholarships to students in Utah through two distinct programs — the Daniels Scholarship Program, which provides college scholarships to deserving high school seniors, and the Boundless Opportunity Scholarship (BOS) program, which provides funding to participating colleges to offer scholarships to non-traditional students.

In addition, the Daniels Fund provides funding for Ethics & Integrity in Education in Utah through the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative and other efforts.
