Daniels Fund awards $5.1 million to
New Mexico nonprofit organizations in 2015

In 2015, the Daniels Fund granted $46.5 million to highly effective nonprofit organizations throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, as well as select national organizations. New Mexico communities are benefiting from $5.1 million in grants to outstanding nonprofits throughout the state.

The Daniels Fund's New Mexico grantmaking strategy focuses primarily on education-related initiatives, maximizing impact by inviting grant requests from nonprofit organizations with a demonstrated ability to improve the education continuum, from cradle to career. The Daniels Fund also provides a limited number of grants to address basic human needs such as food, shelter, and emergency services in New Mexico.

Nonprofit organizations that were awarded grants in 2015 include:
Adelante Development Center, Assurance Home, Bellwether Education Partners, The Bridge of Southern New Mexico, Bridges Project for Education, Catholic Health Initiatives St. Joseph's Children, CNM Ingenuity, Communities in Schools of New Mexico, DreamTree Project, Family Promise of Albuquerque, Feeding Santa Fe, The Food Depot, Hartley House, Interfaith Community Shelter Group, Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation, Native American Community Academy Foundation, New Mexico State University Foundation, Ngage New Mexico, Partnership for Community Action, People Assisting the Homeless, Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico, Taos Coalition to End Homelessness, Technology Leadership High School, United Way of Central New Mexico, United Way of Santa Fe County, Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, and Youth Shelters and Family Services.

The Daniels Fund also provides scholarships to students in New Mexico through two distinct programs — the Daniels Scholarship Program, which provides college scholarships to deserving high school seniors, and the Boundless Opportunity Scholarship (BOS) program, which provides funding to participating colleges to offer scholarships to non-traditional students.

In addition, the Daniels Fund provides funding for Ethics & Integrity in Education in New Mexico through the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative and other efforts.
