How the Daniels Fund Scholarship has impacted my life:

Words can't describe what it means to be a Daniels scholar. It means so much to me and I appreciate the staff at the Daniels fund office because they are ALWAYS available, patient and kind. I couldn't ask for a better blessing. It means the world to me to say that I am a Daniels Scholar and not only that, but I can embody Bill Daniels qualities and strive for nothing but excellence.  Bill Daniels has opened so many doors for me, when I didn't think I could afford college I was called and told that I received the scholarship. Being a scholar is the best thing that ever happened to me, when I graduate and I am able to give back to the Daniels Fund, this is the first thing that I am going to do! Being a Daniels scholar means that I am special and forever grateful for the opportunity!

What I like most about college is learning, believe it or not I love the opportunity to be taught something I never learned before.  I enjoy the opportunity to expand and challenge my mind.

The greatest challenge for me so far in college is simply staying focused solely on my academics. I say this because I work as well and because I work, I sometimes want to work more hours to get more money but I know I can't because I have classes to go to so it can become hard being a broke college student barely making it day by day but the end result I know will be well worth the wait and the hard times!

If someone is applying for the Daniels Fund Scholarship, I would say be yourself and work hard because if you are yourself and this is a goal you have in mind there is nothing that can stop you. It may be a long process but nothing in life comes easy so work hard and be true, let your inner light shine through!
