POSITION SUMMARY:
The duties of this position require initiative, organization, and judgment. Work requires contact with staff and the public. The primary responsibility of the Operations Assistant is to provide after-hours support to the organization’s meeting space function. This position also supports the operations department in several office and building related tasks. The Operations Assistant primarily works weekday evenings and Saturdays.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING*:
· Establishes and maintains contact with staff and outside meeting facilitators, and responds to their needs in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
· Provides on-site support to outside meeting facilitators to ensure a satisfactory event.
· Provides technical support to all meeting space audio/visual equipment.
· Assists with after-hours special building events.
· Serves as back-up to Operations Associate.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· High school graduate or equivalent.
· Work experience in managing meeting scheduling and logistics.
· Working knowledge of audio/visual equipment.
· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
MENTAL/VISUAL DEMANDS; PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Professional office environment.
· May be high-pressured depending on demands.
